HIGE PRICES IN LONDON. BIG DEMAND FOR CONTINENT. Tt is an old saying that "everything comes to him who waits," and this is proved to be correct in respect to the tallow market. During the war. supplied of tallow accumulated in >7cw Zealand! a; spare was ear-marked in ships for! foodstuffs and wool. During the I_. months ended April 30th, PUS, the total export of tallow from the Dominion oni> reached n..ifi3 tons, while fop the 12 months ended same date. Win. the total pent was "27_f>u tons. Prices in London have advanced to a very hinh figure. \s vcrv large stocks are still hela in New Zealand, big profits should accrue to tbe owners. It is stated hv a Southern paper that the stocks of tallow still neH in New Zealand run into many thou-nnds of tons. As the demand for the Continent is very strong there is every chance of high prices ruling for tallow until normal conditions are resumed.
