ARCHDUKE'S ABJECT POVERTY
According to the Bnda-Pest "Hirlap," Baron Ernst Wallburg, son of the Archduke Ernst aud- his wife, Frau Laura Skublits, has returned to Buda-Pest after a long absence. The Archduke Ernst, without the Imperial sanction, married the daughter of a Hungarian farmer, and Baron Ernst Wallburg Is the eldest of their four children. He himself resigned a. commission in the lrniy in order to marry a woman of tuu people, and some time afterwards a charge »f forging documents relating to his connec:ion with the Imperial house was preferred igainst him, though it was dropped after le had remained for some time in prison. When Baron Wallburg came out of prison ac found himself and his family faced with destitution, and for six months be •arned a precarious livelihood as a waiter n a cafe, after which he was lost sight of. He and his wife and children, nine persons n all, are now stated by the "Hirlap" :o be living In a single room In abject poverty. The children are almost without clothing, md their mother is seriously 111. There seems to be a likelihood of the family being compelled to enter the workhouse.
