THE CAMBRIDGE CAMP.

FOR THE INFANTRY BRIGADE.

(t>'fc K.\ .-t» l'>* £VK J -. It has now been finally decided ttiat" the annual training camp of the Auckland Infantry Brigade will be held at Bardowie, Cambridge, instead of at Morrinsvillc. This is in consequence of the water supply at the latter place, although abundant, being slightly mineralised; while at Cambridge-there will not be the slightest doubt as to the quality of the water available. A supply from the borough waterworks will be Jaid on, the water from which exceeds the standard for purity in every particular. The camp will be in a paddock adjoining Victoria Park, on which the agricultural show is now being held, and as the water is laid on to the park it will be a small matter to extend the service into the adjoining paddock.

The camp-will comprise the. 3rd. (Auckland)"' Regiment; 'Lieutenant-Colonel Bartlett; 6th (Hauraki), ~ Regiment, Lieutenant-Col one. Porritt; f ,lsth (North Auckland) Regiment,- Lieutenant-Colonel Steadrnan; . 16th (Waikato) Regiment, Lieutenant-Colonel Cumming; No. 3 N.Z. Field Engineers, Captain L. M. Shera, and No. 1 Field Ambulance, Major lnglis, N.Z.M.C. The advance fatigue party to prepare the camp will go in on the 27th inst., and those who will take the extra four days' training will arrive on the 31st inst. The main body for the week's training will reach the camp on 4th April.

The commanding officer will be Colonel C. T. Major, D.5.0., brigadier, with Captain C. W. Melville, N.Z.S.C., as brigademajor. The regimental staff will be Captain C. L. Hawkins, N.Z.S.C., 3rd Regiment; Captain A. B. Morton, N.Z;S.C, 6th Regiment; Captain S. A. Wood. N.Z.S.C, 15th Regiment; and Captain W. L. H. Burgess, N.Z.S.C, 16th Regiment, as adjutants
