Holmes,, the president, and secretary of the Auckland Exhibition Executive, and asked if he would be good! enough.'to'.bedpine patron ojf the Exhibition. jn plkce of. Lord Islington, who /iad- left -the colony. • Lord Liverpool said-he.\would be very' glad to act in -the capacity, suggested, and he promised to open the Exhibition on December 1 next.
