SUDDEN DEATH.
POISONED BY' JEYES' FLUID,

PALMERSTON NORTH, this day.
David Pirani, well known in Manawatu and Auckland districts, where he had engaged in journalism and farming, died suddenly at Palmer3ton- last' evening, .aged. 49. He had -been suffering from a painful and for some time. "Yesterday he "■was found* unconscious, in his bedroom,, where he expired in Spite of medical attention. He leaves a wife"" btrt no family: At the inquest oh David .Pirani, the evidence showed; that deceased had been subject to hopeless depression following •an.attack of diabetes. He went into the baChroom and' drank Jeves' fluid. Mr Fred. Pirani asked Dr. Whittaker: "Don't you think Jeyes' fluid ought to be labelled 'Poison,' instead of 'nonpoisonous? J If that had been done my brother would not have been dead, because his relatives locked' away all dangerous materials."
Mr Whittaker: Yes, very poisonous, although, if used-dilated ate directed, it is riot poisonous. I also strongly think such materials should have an antidote printed on the labels. The jury added a rider accordingly.
