LEAGUE OF NEW ZEALAND WHEELMEN.

Christchurch, this day. The annual meeting of the League of New Zealand Wheelmen last night unanimously decided to send a delegate to Dunedin to address the clubs there, respecting the advantages to be gained by joining the league, which intends to cater for amateur as well as cash racing. It was also decided that the league hold its own championships, and Dunedin was suggested as the place for this year. A scheme of accident insurance, drawn up by the executive, giving all league members power to insure with the New Zealand Accident Insurance Company was agreed to. At present racing cyclists cannot insure against accidents, under any rates. By the proposed scheme, they can insure at ordinary rates, when non-racing members of the league will have a discount of 20 per cent.
