NEW ZEALAND CRICKET COUNCIL
SEASON FIXTURES.

Christchukch, this day. AT the annual meeting of the New Zealand Cricket Council last night, Mr A. E. Whitaker, of Auckland, was elected President. The balance-sheet showed that the credit balance had increased from £56 15s od to £131 14s 9d. A letter from Mr L. A. Cuff', now in Sjdney, showed that no arrangements could be made to get Stoddart's team to visit New Zealand this time, as all the dates had been arranged, andjbhe team was almost certain to play in West Australia on the way back. The whole fact was that there was not enough money in it—£3,ooo would be about the figure if they could come. The Council took no further steps in the matter. The following programme of interprovincial matches was approved :—Auckland plays Wellington, Canterbury, and Hawke's Bay at Auckland; Taranaki plays Nelson at Nelson and Hawke's Bay at Napier ; Hawke's Bay plays^ Auckland at Auckland, Canterbury at Napier, and Taranaki at Nelson; Wellington plays Auckland at Auckland, Nelson and Hawke's Bay at Napier^ and Canterbury at Wellington ; Nelson plays Wellington at Wellington, Taranaki at Nelson, and Marlborough at Nelson; Marlborough plays Nelson at Nelson ; Canterbury plays Auckland at Auckland, Taranaki at Hawera, Hawke's Bay at Napier, WeiI Hagton at Wellington, and Otago at Christchurch; Otago plays Canterbury at Christchurch, Southland at Dunedin ; Southland plays Otago at Dunedin. It was decided to a play North and South Island match if Auckland could be got to co-operate, and also to invite the English I Parliamentary team to visit New Zealand.
