COLE'S BIG SHOW.—THE PARADE.
The tents of this grand combination are now erected on the Fairbum property in Symond's-street, and daily rehearsals will take place until the opening performance on Saturday afternoon. In view of the fact that a great demonstration will be given in honour of hia Excellency the Governor on Friday, Mr Cole has decided to give his famous street parade on Friday afternoon instead of the evening as heretofore announced. This will be gratifying news to suburban residents who will thus be enabled to witness the grand pageant and return to their homes before a late hour in the night. The procesiiion will start from the exhibition grounds at 2 p.m., and traverse all the piincipal streets. The line of march will be published in tho STAR on Thursday. As an illustration of the exactness with which Mr Cole has announced his attractions, it is only necessary to state that he has brought innumerable features, which have not been advertised by his agents. Among the list of novelties thus omitted are a number of arenic celebrities includio« Mr Frederick Barclay, the sensational ba"e-back rider, Mr Vanzant, the great bounding jockey, Mr Campbell, the fearleas thrower of double-summersaults, Mr Woodas Cooke, artist, premier of the Equestrian School, and the dashing lady trapeze performer Mdlle. Tonovire. These are valuable additions to the long roll of artists already recorded ; and reflects great credit on the precision oE the management iv advertising nothing which they are not positive will be produced.
