PiursriCENH'ESS. — John Leonard, John Shiers, Margaret Clcarey, K. Brown alias Robson, and James Ferguson, were fined each os. and costs, or to be imprisoned 24 hours. — P. Mullaty, for a second offence, was fined 10s. and costs, or to be imprisoned 48 hours. Evading- Bail.—John CoiFey was charged with intending to abscond, and so evade bail given for his appearance for trial at the Supreme Court. —Mr. Joy for defendant. — Mr. Bacon, the bailsman for tho defendant, stated that her had heard that the wife of defendant said that ho might abscond. —Bacon was relieved of his obligation, and. on the application of Mr. Joy, bail to a simi ar amount was allowed, himself in £1.00, and two sureties in £50 each. Municipal Police Act.—Thomas Hnr..is pleaded guilty to having driven his dray in Queen-street, without/ having his name lngib y painted on the same.—Fined 10s. and costs. Peovoking Language. — The charge brought by W. Tiiihy against; Mary Ti.it.liy, was adjourned till to-morrow, in consequence of the liy>terj.cal state of defendant in Court. —Two other similar rases were settled out of Court. Laucknt. —The ease of It. Glover, charged with stealing a musical instrument from on board the Blanche, was, in the absence of prosecutor, a seaman engaged by his duties on board the Blanche, adjourned litl to-morrow, bail being allowed sis before. Vagrancy. — T. Patou, a well-ltnown vagrant, whose nocturna' and wandering habits, and uncouth deshabille, have caused no inconsiderable fear among certain of Her Majesty's subjects, was sent to Mount Eden for three months.
