PERMISSION FOB £1,000,000 GRANTED.
We are informed by the Captain of tiie Kangatira, which arrived at Onehunga this morniuc, that yesterday afternoon, before the vessel's leaving Wauganui, a telagram from Wellington had just been received stating, that as a result of the debate on the loan policy of the Government, the House had sanctioned a loan of four million.-'. We have no doubt this intelligence will be received with general satis IMf i ion. The T^ranaki being hourly expected, further details will, doubtless, this evening come to hand.
