LATEST FROM TAURANGA.

Thb steamer Tauranga returned to harbour this morning, but does not bring any news of importance. A whaleboat, with a party of natives, had arrived at Whakatane from Opotiki. The natives reported that several of the Haahaus taken prisoners by Eopataand Kemp had been shot for attempting to make their escape. H.M. s.s. Eosario was still lying at Tauranga.
