AKAROA RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
Tuesday, October 30, 1877. (Before Justin Aylmer, Esq., K.M.) OATLLE TKKsPASS, H. H. Fenton, was finaJ 5s and costs for an offence of this nature. A case against E. C. St John, was dismissed. NON-RKGISTKATION OF DOGS. For this offence the following lines wore intlicted with costs :-— J. Boeoher. 20s ; G. Checkley, for two dogs, 20s each ; H. S. Bushell, for two dogs,'2os each ;J. Daly, 20s; G. Jolly, 20s. Civil Casks. H. Bailey, v. Catherine Wright abusive language.—Mr Inwood appeared for the plain tilt After bearing the evidence the Bench bound the defendant over to keep the peace for 12 months, .himself in £30 and two sureties of £15 each, or, in default, three months imprisonment. Widdicombe and Holmes v. Clarke and Millar.—Mr Inwood for defendants. The case was further adjourned to November 2, for the production of other evidence. Hawthorne v. Brown.—Mr Inwood for plaintiff. Judgment was reserved till next Court day.
