TINWALD TOWN BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the Tinwald Town Board was held on Friday evening. Present: Messrs T. >Y unams (chairman), W. H. Bell, J. Hampton, and H. B. Millichamp.

The chairman reported a credit balance of £126.

Mr Williams was appointed the board's delegate on the Canterbury Progress League, also on the peace celebration committee. '

The secretary was instructed to write to the Ashburtoh County Council" asking the reason why the sluice gate had been erected at the intake of the relief channel on the Timaru track. The board considered this was entirely opposed to the purpose for which the drain was made and suggested that the channel should be cleaned out periodically. . .

It was decided to write to the Valuation Department urging the re-valua-tion of the properties in the district at an early date. ,

Accounts amounting to £11 10s were passed for payment. I
