Once at the post, little or no delay took place, «nd the ilag falling at the second attempt, it was to the detriment of Sibola. Corposant, Cfl the other hand, began well, and making play from Queen Fairy, had Reminiscence, [Fairy Gold, Musa, Santa Casa, "Victoria May, ■Janitza, Galopin Lassie, and Sibola next, whilst Princess Mary brought up the rear. After coyering a- quarter of a mile, Corposant was showing *he way to Fair • Huguenot, Reminiscence, Santa Casa, and Fairy Gold, with Queen Fairy next, and Princess Mary still in the rear. At lfche mile post, Corposant was still leading, followed by Fair Huguenot, Fairy Gold, Sibola, And Musa, and in this order they ran to the top <of the hill, where Sibola improved her position, «nd, followed by Corposant, Fairy Gold, Fair Huguenot, Queen Fairy, and Musa, made the ■way from Tattenharn Corner. Into the straight fLord Rosebery's filly came, followed by Sibola, •Muaa, and Santa Casa, whilst Janitza, who Bulked, and would not race, had dropped so far astern, that T. Loates pulled her into a canter. Half way down the straight Corposant was ibeaten, and the issue was left to Sibola ard Musa, the latter of whom, in a fine finish, got home by a. head; a length and a half betwtm second and third.
