Campaspe continued to. lead at the back, and at the abattoirs Floater was. up with him. Nilus -was in command at- the sheds, followed by Campaspe, Floater, Ouyen, Gladys, Pirate, and Hayseed. At the turn Vigil ran to the front from Nilus, Floater, Ouyen, Pirate, and Domino, with Mysore, in tbe centre. Gladys fell at the second fence in the straight. Pirate led over the first of the stand treble from Nilus, Ouyen, Floater, Domino, Campaspe, Doondiah, Troy, and Mysore, while Ditto and Hayseed fell. Doondiah fell at the second of the treble, and Pirate and Nilus led at the river side, 1< loater, Domino, Troy Ouyen, Britomarte, and Campaspe, being next, and Happy Jack last. At the bridge Floater, Troy, and Domino were together, 10 lengths in front of Nilus, Pirate, Ouyen, Vigil, Mysore, and Campaspe. Troy led Domino at the back, and at the sheds Troy was showing the way to Domino, Mysore, »Euro, and Vigil. At the last fence Domino, Mysore, Ouyen, and Troy were together, while Floater had dropped back. Domino was first into the straight from Ouyen and Mysore, and a great race home ensued.
