SHOP WINDOW BROKEN
[nV TEIjKGRAPH—own corrkspondknt] OPOTIKI, Wednesday A loud noise of breaking timber and glass brought people in the vicinity of Church Street rushing to their doors this morning, when a large plate-glass window in a shop occupied by Mr. W. Crcsswell was broken. Builders were engaged in demolishing the verandah in front of the Chinese fruit shop in part of the block destroyed by fire some time ago when the supports of the verandah gave way and the overhead framework crashed to the ground, part falling on Mr. Cresswell's window.
