SERVICE CAR DESTROYED.
FIRE AND ACCIDENT. PASSENGERS JUMP CLEAR. - [Bl* TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] TE KUITI. Saturday. While a service car was travelling with two passengers from Hamilton to Te Kuiti yesterday afternoon the engine stalled at a bad turn in the road between Otorohanga to To Kuiti, where widening recently took place. The driver backed to restart the car. Tho engine back-fired and tho car burst into flames. Tho passengers jumped clear and tho car dropped over a steep bank upside down. It was completely destroyed. Tho driver's two eyebrows were singed, but he was not hurt.
