The working parts of an electric fence controller. When the unit is switched on the magnetic core attracts the armature and knocks the flywheel round, opening the contacts and thus de-energising the magnet. The wheel is returned to position by the hairspring and closes the contacts, the magnet is energised, and the performance is repeated
