Graduation Cadet W. T. Wharewera of Whakatane receives his regular force hat from Lt-Col. C. M. Bennett, D.S.O., a former Commander of 28 Maori Battalion at the graduation parade of Ngarimu Class, Regular Force Cadets, held at Waiouru Command in December last year. Top cadet was Regimental Sergeant-Major M. J. Grubb, of Auckland. Colonel Bennett was invited to review the parade as he was Company Commander, and later Battalion Commander of Lieutenant Ngarimu's platoon, when that officer won his Victoria Cross in Tunisia.
