GERMANS PULL OUT OF NETHERLANDS AS MONTY’S MEN CLOSE IN
It is now clear that the Germans are pulling out of the Netherlands. There has been heavy traffic on the roads, all making for Germany.
Signs of demolitions on airfields have been seen.
Hundreds of barges are being assembled in the Zuider Zee.
Meanwhile, reports from correspondents state that there is now only one important road ahead of Montgomery’s troops before the. Netherlands “ V weapon coast ” is' completely cut off, ♦ There has been no rocket nor flying bomb activity over England for several days. SUPPLIED BY AIR: ;■ Full details of the present offensives in Germany, however, are still covered by the security black-out, but it is evident that our tank thrusts have not yet reached their limits. In some cases, ordinary supply lines have been exhausted, and columns are now being supplied with petrol, etc., by air transport.
The fall of Innsbruck is announced. Airborne troops made a night attack, and by daylight the city had been captured. In the meantime, tank columns have by-passed the city.
