13-YEAR-OLD SOLDIER
A grandson of General Smuts, who is 13 years old, gave his age as 17 and joined the South African Army This was revealed by Mrs. Smuts, who added: "We got him back today, not because we have any objection, but because we feel that he is a little young to go north.”
