GOODS SUPPLIED TO TROOPS
Asked whether it was generally known 'that the goods supplied 'to troops from the various recreational huts and canteens in camps both in New Zealand and overseas were originally supplied from the patriotic funds of the
Dominion, the chairman of the Wellington Provincial Patriotic Council, Mr. T. C. A. Hislop, said at yesterday’s meeting that the various organizations supplying such goods in the camps were merely acting as agents of the patriotic organizations, and that all profits from the sale of goods belonged to the patriotic fund organizations. It was said at the meeting that, in fairness to the contributors to the funds, the position should be clarified.
