Freyberg, EC-, Officer Commanding the 2nd New ealand Expeditionary Force, is a tesjjmonial to the work of the National ■itriotic Fund Board in its endeavors with the co-operation of the pub- •, to provide comforts for New ZeaKiid’s armed forces. The letter, dated ■bruary 19, was addressed to the -airman of the board. Major-General Freyberg deals . first th the provision of band instruments r the First Echelon. “I thought -you mid be pleased to hear,” he writes, l«hat the band . instruments presented “ your society to two of the infantry Italians have proved a great success, -d two very good bands have already ken formed... . . I can assure you that ?y are a great asset.” Referring to the provision of comets,- Major-General Freyberg states: .'istributions of gifts from your soGy during the voyage were fully appointed by the men.
