N.Z. Nurses

To Serve with First Echelon

Three nurses from the Auckland district will serve overseas with the first echelon of the New Zealand Special Military Force. They are Sister D. 1. Brown, Sister P. M. Williams, and Sister W. Wall, all of whom enlisted with the Army Nursing Service shortly after the outbreak of war. All three sisters belong to Auckland, Sister Brown being a sister on the staff of the Auckland Hospital for seven years, and Sister Williams and Sister Wall being trained at the same institution.

Since the formation of the first echelon they have been serving at the military camp at Ngaruawahia. It is hot known in Auckland how many nursing sisters have been selected for overseas service with the first echelon. However, the three from Auckland will be associated with a number of others from southern centres. - ■’ / ■ -
