LIFE'S RAILWAY TO HEAVEN.
Life is like a mountain railway, with an engineer that’s brave. You must make the run successful from the i radle to the grave; Watch the curve, the fill the tunnel, do your duty, never quail. Keep your hand upon the throttle, and your eye upon the rail. You will climb the grade of trial, you will cross the bridge of strife, See that Christ is your Conductor on this lightning train of life; Always mindful of obstructions, never falter, never fail, Keep your hand upon the throttle, and your eye upon the rail. You will always find obstructions, look for storms of wind and rain; At some curve, or fill, or tunnel, they will almost ditch your train; l»ut your trust alone in Jesus, do your duty, never fail. Keep your hand upon the throttle, and your eye upon the rail. When you roll across the trestle spanning Jordan’s swelling tide. You behold the Union Depot ir.<o which your train will glide, There you’ll meet the Superintendent. God the Father, God the Son. And the hearty, joyous plaudits, “Weary pilgrim, welcome home.”
