(To the Editor.) Madam, The writer on “Indentured Labour’’ in the- December issue says: “We venture to think that very few New /.cm land women can be autnre of the conditions unckr which our Indian siste rs are liv ng in Fiji.’’ It is most important that the facts should be made known. Is not a whole nation re>pons blc* for evils and abuses carried on within its own bounds? And when it is a ouestion of the native races and of h-°H)less women and children, it is surely time for the Christian conscience of the people to be aroused. Out Saviour slic'd His precious blood to redem us all, and t is our privilege* to give 11 is message and to seek to undo the heavy biudcn and break the yoke of oppression. Will the writer kindl\ let us know who are dree tto * responsible? At.° the women working under the Government or a company - I am, etc., J. F. GAN ST AD.
