National Council of Women.
The President, Mrs Sievwright, re quested that Christchurch should consider the question as to where the Council should meet next year, and make a recommendation to tbe Execu tive. Miss Henderson, Hon. Secretary, therefore called a meeting on December sth, consisting of Mesdames Wells and Sheppard, Vice-Presidents ; Mrs lien derson, representing the Canterbury Women's Institute; Miss M. Smith, representing the Vegetarian Society ; and Mrs Williams, representing tlu Progressive Liberal Association. Mrs Weils was voted to the chair. After fully discussing the question, it was proposed, seconded, and carried unani mously, “ That it be a recommendation to the Executive that the Council should meet in Napier next year.” Subject and writers of papers were also suggested to be forwarded to the Execu tive, and afterwards to the affiliated societies, for approval.
