Women on Charitable Aid Boards.
It is a matter for congratulation that the County Councils have elected two women on the Charitable Aid Board of North Canterbury this year. Mrs Black has been re-elected by the Sel wyn County Council, and Mrs Wells is the nominee of the joint Councils oi Amuri, Kaikoura, and Cheviot. It is to he hoped that other County Councils throughout the colony will follow' suit, so that no Charitable Aid Board shall be without the assistance of women.
