Dr. Temple's Last Ordination
The Rev. E. L. Bell, younger son of the vicar of Allerton By water, Leeds, will long have cause to remember with particular gratitude his ordination to the priesthood m Croydon parish church on Trinity Sunday. Not only was this the last
ordination performed by the late Archbishop of Canterbury but, as Mr - Bell was confined to bed when the ceremony was originally to have taken place, Dr. Temple travelled to Croydon, although far from well, simply to ordain one solitary candidate.
As- Mr Bell's father, writes: "That was typical of the Archbishop . . » ■. Do little things as though they are great things, and ypu will live to do great things as hough they' were little things."
