The Girls' Bible Class Dominion Camp, held m Auckland from December 29th to January 7th, was a fine camp from every point of view. The Girls' Diocesan and Dilworth Schools, with their spacious grounds, were generously placed at our disposal. There were 110 at Senior and 90 at Jjunior Camp. The beautiful Chapel of the Diocesan School was used for Seniors and Juniors together, the Rev. N. Houghton, Vicar of St. Mark's, Remuera, Chaplain to the School, was Camp Chaplain. His short, arresting talks at the Daily Eucharist made, we are sure, a great impression. No one is likely to forget his words at the last service, on "The Glorified Lord, to Whom this Chapel is dedicated, and Whom you must glorify m your lives." The Lord's own service daily at 7.15 a.m. was a privilege greatly valued, the Communicants varying from 90 to 150. Then there were the studies, "Love and Life according to St. John," admirably prepared by Mrs. F. Wallis, and entered into with great zest by leaders and girls. We were unable this year to obtain a resident Missionary, but very good talks on China were given by Mrs. Lord, who has recently returned from the Shantung Diocese, and by the Rev. Mr. Falcon, who before entering the ministry had a varied experience of life m North India. Lastly, ample provision was made for recreation — swimming baths and tennis courts; Junior and Senior concerts, which revealed much talent; the Fancy Dress Party, followed by Dormitory Supper, on New Year's Eve; an all-day picnic on Rangitoto Island; a bus tour to see the sights of Auckland, etc., etc. And when the camp was over, the Leaders worked hard m conference for a day. and a half. The executive remains m one Diocese for three years and Waiapu had come to the end of its term of office; the sceptre has now passed to Dunedin. Mrs. Parata was elected president, Miss H. Robinson secretary, and Miss M. Ryalls treasurer.
The outgoing Waiapu Executive wishes them all success. The work is fairly arduous, but deeply interesting, for undoubtedly the Bible Class Unions are meeting a real need m New Zealand to-day by helping to guide and develop the spiritual life of its younger Church members. E. 8.8.
