DIOCESAN NOTES.
Synod, at its last session, directed Standing Committee to appoint someone, preferably m Holy Orders, as organiser for the General Diocesan Fund. In accordance with this resolution, the Rev. N. F. Benham has been appointed to the post, and will begin his work early m February. The Rev. C. G. G. Salt has been appointed by the Board of Nomination as Vicar of Opotiki, and will be succeeded at Patutahi by the Rev. H. Speight, who has been for four years at Hastings. We understand that Mr Speight's post at Hastings will be filled by the Rev. C..E. Tanner, who is at present Curate at St. Mary's, Parnell.
