Vicar : Rev. L. Dawson Tli&mm. General. — The Lenten and Easter seasons have been busy times m the Parish. During Lent the Vicar gave a series of Sunday evening addresses on Bunyan's " Pilgrim's Progress. " The addresses seem to have proved interesting. Following his usual custom at this season, the Vicar invited written

questions m any difficulty or vexed point of belief to be sent m. These he answered before the address, A number of excellent question's were forwarded, proving that people are anxious and willing to seek aid m their difficulties. The Easter Festival was somewhat marred by stormy weather. Notwithstanding the rain, a very large number of Parishioners made their Communion. Church Extension. — We have taken •another step m the direction of Church extension m the Parish m purchasing a fine site m the suburb of Te Hapara. A very keen body of people hgve united there to get a Church for themselves. It is expected that building operations will commence before the end of the present year. Most probably we shall build a Church Hall, as we have done m the other two suburbs, which may be used for various purposes m the week. When the building is erected, we shall have completed, for i the present at least, our plan of Church extension. Visit of the Rev. J. H. Rogers.— During last month we had a visit from Mr. Rogers. He came intending to spend a brief holiday with his daiughter, who resides m the Parish. He arrived to find her stricken down with serioais illness, and m the hospital. His holiday spoilt, Mr. Rogers found relief m service for the Church. He gave four delightful addresses m the Church. Parishioners had not forgotten his visit last year, and there were crowded congregations at the services. There were general rejoicings when it was known that 1 Miss Rogers was making a rapid progress towards recovery.
