Mr Hohepa Te Rake Te Kiri Mr Hohepa Te Rake Te Kiri, of Rotorua, died last October, aged 70. A son of Te Ngahoa Te Kiri, a leader of the Ngati Rangi Teaorere sub-tribe, and Mariana Teoha of Ngati Whakaue, Mr Kiri was born at Te Ngae. He lived all his life in Rotorua, except for a period during the first world war when he served overseas as a sergeant in the Second Maori Reinforcements. At the time of his death he was a member of the Arawa Trust Board. Mr Te Kiri is survived by his wife, three daughters and a son.
