MAN VERSUS SHARK At Waikanae beach, Mr John Edwin recently caught a shark with his bare hands. He was on the beach when the alarm went up that a shark, six feet in length, was in the water. Swimmers came running out of the sea. Mr Edwin ran into the sea and placed himself into position for a grab at the tail with both hands. He quickly hauled the shark backwards onto the beach. Then he killed the big fish with a piece of wood.
