Mr TONY ORMSBY The death occurred recently of Mr Tony Ormsby, one of the leading figures in Maori circles in the King Country and the North. He was a veteran of the First World War, in which he served with Sir Peter Buck. Following the war, Mr Ormsby was employed as a health inspector in the Waikato-Maniapoto district where he later acted as a Maori agent and interpreter. He is survived by a son and a daughter.
