BT Ima
(Perfecto) Four months in, this is the best dance album of the year so far. Brian Transeau, once associated with the awesome house production duo Deep Dish, hails from Washington DC. Now we all know the Americans make the best house music, but this really is the shit. Trancey house or housey trance, whatever, it’s very similar to Sasha’s style. Every track is a soaring escapade into brilliance, packed with energy, emotion and whatever it is that made Muzik magazine readers vote it album of the year. The CD format features ‘Sasha’s Voyage Of Ima’ DJ mix, which incorporates three of the album tracks into a 42-minute journey which is just mesmerising. Pure class.
