SPLITTING STRAWS
Mark Tierney of the Auckland duo Strawpeople has left the band. Tierney and his Strawpeople partner Paul Casserly have “amicably” agreed to engage in separate recording careers. Casserly will continue to record under the name Strawpeople for Sony Music. He is currently writing new material with former Headless Chickens vocalist Fiona McDonald, for an album to be completed later this year. Tierney also has plans to make a solo album for release in 1996.
