Lemonheads play one only concert, Jan 19 at Auckland's Powerstation. • Jimmy Barnes will do an extensive summer tour playing Jan 2 Queenstown, Jan 4 Invercargill, Jan 5 Timaru, Jan 7 Dunedin, Jan 8 Christchurch, Jan 10 Gisborne, Jan 11 Mt.Maunganui, Jan 13 Tutakaka Marina, Whangarei, Jan 14 Auckland, Jan 15 New Plymouth. Fugazi end their NZ tour with a Saturday Dec 11 performance at Auckland's Powerstation. Tour rumours for the New Year include Boney M, Prince and Johnny Cash. Bryan Adams will tour, playing Feb 12 Mt Smart Supertop Auckland & Feb 13 Show Buildings Wellington. . .Yothu Yindi will play Auckland and Wellington in March. USA blues guitarist / singer Robert Penn plays the Gluepot Dec 24, Whangaparaoa's Hibiscus Court Dec 26, Gisborne's Sandown Dec 27 and Otumoetai Tauranga Dec 28. Penn, 35, has been in the BB King band and now he records for Detroit's Blues Factory label. Penn's band will be Paul Dunningham (drums); Martyn Wynch (guitar), Alex Griffith (bass), Stuart Pearce (keyboards), Ben Holmes (sax). Midge Marsden is on tour with USA blues guests Ronnie Taylor (Atlanta, Georgia) and Julieann Banks (Austin, Texas). Exponents and Dave Dobbyn are touring together this summer. Annie Crummer is also doing an extensive tour. (See Live Music page 37.) ' ■ % Strawberry Fields March 4-6 at Raglan has a bold promo slogan "The greatest line-up of music since Woodstock". GISBORNE'S "MAIN ATTRACTION" January 5 at the Awapuni Bowl, Main Attraction is a big line-up of bands — Exponents, Dave Dobbyn, Dead Flowers, Moana & the Moahunters, Straitjacket Fits, 7 Dials, King Biscuit. Ticket price is $25 or S2O in advance. Another big Gisborne line-up is New Year's Eve at the River Bar with Head Like A Hole, Shihad, Premature Autopsy, Froit Head and Flatt Hamster Man.
