Can’t you read? Did you not notice my approving comments about all the bands except Supertanker and Lurch? What do you want from a live review—a puff piece for the band? What I do is paint a picture of how the band sounds to me— nobody has to buy my opinion. If you
can’t handle reading an opinion in RIU stick to perusing band press releases. It's entertaining to think that Grant McDougall (Nov RIU) can simulate the excitement of a Thromityurch/ Pumpkinhead gig merely by picking his nose. Unfortunately, Mr McDougall, I don't see how someone who obviously keeps his tongue firmly plastered to the buttocks of Dunedin's alternative can know anything about funk metal or indeed musicianship in general. And to Matthew Hyland — I've listened to everything by Soundgarden since Louder Than Love and I'll be buggered if I can hear any slap bass in there at all. A little less inconsistency, please. May you both be brutally slaughtered by a rabid funkmetal rhythm section. TOBIAS PASTORIUS 111, DUNEDIN
