EXORCIST 3 Another sequel, this one making up for the dire Exorcist 2. Written and directed by William Peter Blatty from his book Legion (follow-up to the Exorcisf) it is now 15 years later and the Gemini Killer has returned. George C Scott is the cop who knows that this is no ordinary (21) serial killer, this is SATAN! The cinematography is crisp and Blatty has some neat twists in his direction. While continuing the story and characters from the original Exorcistthis time Blatty relies on chilling suspense (as in Silence of the Lambs) rather than headspinning surprises. A good Sunday horror. HAMLET A lot like what you read in school. And like the book you read at school your eyes tend to glaze over after' 10 minutes thanks to all that - Shakespearean English you have difficulty understanding. Superbly directed by Franco Zeffirelli and starring Mel Gibson as Hamlet this is not for the low-brow. While | would have preferred standard English I'm glad | perservered. : SIMON LAAN
