show. Where else are we going to see all the new thrash metal and alternative vids2 Certainly not on RTR Sounds with Robert “I'm soooo cool and love myself” Rakete. The only other music video shows we have are both countdowns so the chance of seeing any decnet vids there is fuck all. - Why couldn’t TVNZ have just resloted RWP on another night instead of cutting it altogether? 1 think TV3 should have a go with presenters like Donna Yuzwalk, Kirk Gee, Kerry Buchanan and Geoff Dunn! With interviews, concert - happenings (here and overseas), competitions and last but not least no funky commercial crap that we get on other shows. Oh well, we all dream. Your May issue contained some of the worst crap I've ever read. Your reviewer Donna Yuzwalk spent a week in Christchurch sometime in April
and reviewed two of the most shithouse gigs to have taken place in Christchurch in that month. In her Into The Void / Stepford Five / Quakers reivew Ms Yuzwalk says the pub was almost empty. No wonder — who is really interested in this tuneless, egofistical crap. Your reviewer should get with it. There are plenty of decent bands in Chch, i.e. Fuckface, Sexist Pig, Bodily Function, Sausage Breath and the Renderers. Why does your reviewer concentrate on one particular “social milieu” — there’s more to Christchurch than this half dozen or so egotists. ' By the way who is the “you know who” referred to as the source of Cease To Exist's name? In response to “Jim Bolger” also in your May issue the reason bands like the Axel Grinders and Dead C don't get onto Flying Nun is that they don't possess any talent whatsoever. No one in NZ could be bothered releasing anything by the Axel Grinders so they had 500 singles pressed in the US and - claimed to be signed to a US label which no-one has ever heard of, just to try and gain some credibility.
