Steve Reich Concert
Hip minimalist composer STEVE REICH and his musicians play one concert at Wellington's To wn Hall, March 20. Reich's work is regarded as the most powerful development in contemporary classical music in recent decades and as significant as the work of Phillip Glass. Last year Reich released an album collaborating with the Kronos Quartetfor Different Trainsand PatMethenyfor Electric Counterpoint. Critics have described Reich's work as "entirely new in its voice-instrumental fusions" and as "the most humane use of sampling technology." Bookings can be made at BASS oulets nationwide.
