CHRISTCHURCH Things on the local live scene are quiet (probably due to bigger tours passing through) with the exceptions of a "new" Mea Culpa, Into The Void and Demolition all having packed nights a the Subway... watch out for a busy montl though with The Bats, Dolphin and c host of others booked into the Subway—even a planned reunion of the Androids! The recording scene has been busier with 3 Guesses, Love Horror Web Dolphin and others keeping Audio Access busy. Dolphin will be releasing their second cassingle on Failsafe soon whilst Love Horror Web are hoping to release their single independently... Passage Tapes have been busy and are following up their release of Paul Sutherland & The Phantoms cassette with recordings by Demolition and The Indians. George Kahi's Jia Records will be starting their project rolling this year with their first release (the Churchills) presently being pressed in Sydney. ' ■ Other bits: The Christchurch Mush Lobby has grown from a casual ; discussion group, weathered some silly criticism and is now planning to become an incorporated society set to assist the local music scene... Macs Sound have moved from their basement and are now situated on Cashel St (near the Rock Shof and CJ's)...
