Check Signal-to-Noise, Frequency Response, or Range - right in the store For example, our new booklet tells you how to check the dynamic range of a Nady 101 or 201 against any wireless - right in the store - before you buy. Thanks to patented companding circuitry, Nady Wireless Systems have a dynamic range of 120 dB - that’s 15 dB quieter than the closest competitor’s system, including the one with dbx* That’s one fifth the noise. Prove it for yourself. Here’s how you do it: In the store, set up a guitar amplifier at full gain. (Always select high gain, even if you don’tplay screaming leads). Firstplug any other brand of wireless receiver into the amp. Make sure that this system’s transmitter is on. Listen to the amount of hiss coming out of the speaker. Disconnect the receiver and plug a Nady 101 or 201 receiver into the amp, with the Nady transmitter on. Note that at the same amp gain, the Nady Wireless is much quieter (15 dB quieter, to be exact). To test a Nady 101 or 201 hand-held system against the competition, use a mixer and headphones. You ll find the results equally dramatic. . . —from Selecting a Wireless System Test Section
