If we’re to believe all we’re told, PRINCE CHARLES of Britain’s New Big Funk Thing, Prince Charles and the City Beat Band, has led a pretty unusual life. He was born in Boston where he spent his teens leading street gangs. Then, in a marked change of lifestyle, he went to university and got an Honours Degree in Political Science. He hadn’t forgotten the funk, however, and has since recorded two albums, ‘Gang War’ and ‘Stone Killers’ (soon to be released in NZ).
