We reproduce on page 340 some photographs of buildings erected and in course of erection from designs by Messrs Hoggard and Prouse, architects.

The new offices and spacious warehouse for Prouse Lumber Limited, Taranaki Street, is a handsome four-storey building with a frontage of 132 ft. by a depth of 54ft. This building is something quite new m design, and when completed will greatly add to the improvement of Taranaki Street. The several residences reproduced are distinctive in character, and, while picturesque in treatment, are extremely modern, simple, and effective in plan. The same architects have in course of preparation plans for three office buildings in the city and several residences.

The tender of the Union Sash and Door Fae tory Ltd., Palmerston North, has been aceetpeci for the erection of a residence at Fitzherbert East for Mr A. Keiller. The building, which will occupy a commanding position on the hills neai Palmerston, will be of two stories. The ground floor will contain the vestibule, staircase and innei halls, large dining-room, smoking-room, day and night nurseries, nurse's room, kitchen, pantry scullery, etc. The main staircase, sft. wide, leads to the drawing-room, a large, irregularly shapec room on the first floor.
