INQUESTS.
A magisterial inquiry was held on the 31st August, 1863, at the Boundary Creek, Switzers, by J. N. Wood, Esq., Resident Magistrate', on the body of Joseph Paul, aged 40 years, a baker, who died suddenly at the tent of one Daniel Robinson, at Boundary Creek, on the 28th August, 1863. .Verdict, died from Natural. Causes. ■
A coroner’s inquest was held on the 15th of December, 1863, at Cooper’s Family Hotel, Dunedin,-by. T. M. Ilocken, Esq, coroner, on the body of Robert German alias Sinclair', aged 36 years, an accountant, who died on the 15th December, 1 .63, while being removed from ELM. Gaol, Dunedin, to the Dunedin Hospital, at the -time under sentence for
drunkenness. Verdict-Serous apoplexy, caused by habits of intemperance. His wife and family are reported to be living on the Navarre Diggings, Victoria. •
A coroner s inquest was held on the 7th December, 1863, at the Cafe de Paris Jettystreet, Dunedin, by T. M. Hocken, Esq. coionei, on the body of John Thompson, amd 45 years, a sailor, which was found in the Dunedin harbor on the morning of the 6th December, 1863. Verdict, Found Drowned
A coroner’s inquest was held on the 17th December, 1868, at the residence of Vincent Fyke, Esq., Dunedin, by T. M .Ilocken, Esq., on the body of Margaret Lynch, aged 22 years, house servant, who was accidentally killed, on the 16th December, 1863, by a tree falling on her. Verdict accordingly. Deceased had relatives residing in Dunedin.
