RECENT COUNTY ELECTIONS IN IRELAND. Some of ■ the results of the County Council elections which have just been held in Ireland are of outstanding importance (says the New Witness of June 11). The Government's Bill proposes to carve out of Ireland a six-county Ulster area, including, Tyrone and Fermanagh. In these elections, conducted under proportional representation, the County Councillors elected in Tyrone number 15 Sinn Feiners and Nationalists and only 11 Unionists. In, the same, count" the Sinn Feiners and Nationalists secured a majority" onthe three Rural Councils, which had all previously been held by Unionists. In therCounty of.
