BISHOP OF AUCKLAND. AS CHAPLAIN WITH THE NEW ZEALAND EXPEDITION All Y FORCE. - His Lordship Bishop Cleary, whose name appears in the birthday list of honors as being appointed by the King Officer of the Order of the British Empire (0.8. E.), for services rendered in connection with the Avar, served as chaplain with the New Zealand Forces ■in the firing and support lines on the Western Front, during part of 1916 and 1917, and returned to his diocese at the end of October in the latter year.
