Hokitika.

The interment took place on Wednesday, September 11, in the Hokitika Cemetery, of the remains of Elizabeth Noreen Rouse, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Rouse, of Ruatapu (writes a correspondent). The deceased who was ten years of age, succumbed to septic poisoning. She was a bright, intelligent girl, and gave promise of being an accomplished musician, the Sisters of Mercy. Hokitika, being her tutors. Requiem Mass was celebrated in St. Mary’s Church for the repose of the soul of deceased by Father Clancy, S.M., who also conducted the obsequies at the graveside.—R.l.P.
